Murder Ballad is inspired by the famous case of the red barn murder, from which Tom Waits also took his "Murder in the Red Barn," indeed. This is a story I've had in my head since I was a child; I had a little book about all these stories of deaths/murders/ghosts from Great Britain, such joy!
