Help, I just finished reading "Il senso di una fine" (The Sense of an Ending), a novel by Julian Barnes from 2011, winner of the Booker Prize, and since I read it in bits and pieces during work breaks and outings at various shopping centers, I didn't quite understand if Adrian 2° is Veronica's brother (also referred to as Mary towards the end), the ex-girlfriend of Tony (the narrator), because Adrian 1° (Tony's friend and classmate in high school) got Veronica's mother pregnant or what else? Because like Tony, I also tend to not get it... Has anyone read it and can help me out?
