Tuxedomoon - (Special Treatment For The) Family Man This EP is talked about very little, a work that precedes the famous "Half Mute." On the web, there are sparse reviews, the songs are not included in live compilations, and on Wikipedia, it doesn't even have the Allmusic stars or anything similar. Aside from that, what stands out in the listening experience is the darkness and morbidity of the bass and sax. It's not a masterpiece that will have you tearing your hair out, since "Where interests lies" does not reach the level of Cabaret Voltaire's industrial sound, offering a pseudo-blues scale in a perhaps overly predictable cybernetic atmosphere. And while "Nervous Guy" revolves around the Eastern mantras that will be gloriously sent into eternal rest by "Jinx," the esoteric theater of shadow puppets in "Special Treatment" is undoubtedly the added value.
