From central Italy to the north, any city that was at least somewhat industrialized likely had its own red guards with a specific name. Even in my area, although not much is known about it, there were some. With their repression, the fascist regime was established, from which we only freed ourselves more than 20 years later. The main motivations and claims behind April 25, '45 were the same as those of the Biennio Rosso. And for the same reasons, we must today remember this date, important not only for our country.
