Jim Morrison - An American Prayer (The poem). "Jim Morrison & the Doors on the road" (73) I am very fond of this album. I consider it one of the best posthumous albums ever. Those who see it as a cash grab don't understand a damn thing! A simple greatest hits could have sufficed. Instead, in '77 Ray, Robby, and John wanted to pay tribute to their friend by putting together a record of his poems recorded between March '69 and December '70. It was a long and laborious job but it resulted in a splendid "tribute" with Jim's unpublished poems set to new music for the album and old tracks. For me, it's a true Doors album, as I mention in the comment of the only DeBaser review. The two albums by the trio, however, I have always refused to listen to. Awakeeeeee!!!!
