this is a novelty but I won’t let you go without it for any reason in the world! they have been doing (more or less, the debut "A Catholic Education" in a blind test could easily be mistaken for a Dinosaur Jr. album) the same thing for almost thirty years and it’s okay if at twenty it makes a different impression than at fifty (even for them, eh?). But the coordinates are always winning (Byrds-Big Star above all), the songs are always precious gems of artisanal power-pop. Like this Teenage Fanclub "I'm in Love"
