The Doors- The Soft Parade 1080 HD "Jim Morrison & the Doors on the road" (39) Masterpiece. I quote Krieger: "Jim has so much energy that he can't do it all by himself. We use our musical structure to best support his lyrics. There are some people who push themselves to the edge... Jim penetrates into unknown territories. We keep his exploration of chaos intact, making his words relevant to the chords and rhythms." The piece is a collection of parts; bits of Morrison's poetry pieced together. The result is an incredible medley; Jim starts reciting without music, followed by a delicate accompaniment, a danceable beat, and then a "nursery rhyme" in a jazz style. From the third minute, the piece becomes intense like few others, with Jim's multiple voices blending and chasing each other amidst a furious and tribal sound (what a drumming from Densmore!). The sweet parade indicated the bizarre and whimsical humanity that filled Sunset day and night.
