The Doors - Touch Me (Live) "Jim Morrison & the Doors on the road" (32) Of course, for all types of fans of the band (yes, various types because their uniqueness lies in bringing together people with different musical tastes), a strange day arrived when the group performed on a popular television show. At that time, the appearance of a rock band on a network like CBS was an event. Millions of people in front of their TVs saw a rather unusual Doors; blues in "Wild Child" and instead accompanied by a horn section in tuxedos plus saxophonist Curtis Amy, with a visibly out-of-place Morrison (on purpose or really?!?) and Krieger with a noticeable black eye in "Touch Me" (title insisted upon by Jim on a song by Robby... a subtle irony considering the events in Miami!)
