Here is all of Morrison at that moment: depressed, angry, drunk but always brilliant. Probably the most "furious" piece, in every sense, of the entire discography. Morrison never explained the lyrics to anyone; even the title has sparked various and useless conjectures. A call to arms against the system?! A mockery of the hippie movement and its failure?! Jim was disgusted by both the power and the counterculture of the "flower children."
