Led Zeppelin - Black Dog Zeppstory... At the end of 1970, the LZ found themselves in such a productive moment that they began working on a fourth album while the third was still being launched. The reward for their early year efforts would be boundless but only after a frustrating slowdown. Page's obsession with production techniques, his meticulous attention to detail, and the cover art issue, which was becoming a phobia - and would continue to be so in the future - would always delay the release of albums, and in this case, it resulted in November 8, 1971. Headley Grange seemed the perfect place for Page, who adored that austere atmosphere where corridors, rooms, and the entrance provided the perfect environment to experiment with microphone placement.
