June '68 the Yardbirds disband, all that remains are Page and Grant, the father/brother/friend/manager of our future - it’s the moment after several years of being regarded as one of the best session men and then joining the Yardbirds for James Patrick Page to forge a new band - within a couple of months, John Baldwin (Paul Jones), also a professional, is recruited along with two perfect unknowns in their twenties who play in various bands and pubs of the Midlands. The anecdotes would be hundreds but let’s continue... In August, during the first rehearsals, the 4 immediately realize that the feeling flowing among them is something magical, so they seize the opportunity for a tour in Scandinavia, inheriting the Yardbirds' legacy. They start off as the New Yardbirds and their first gig as Led Zeppelin is on October 15.
