The films that make cinematic art great #33 A History of Violence - Carl Fogarty's Death 1080p it's a tough choice with someone like Cronenberg, whose filmography is so perfect. Crash, Naked Lunch, Dead Ringers... but if some monkey (one actually, a green monkey with peanuts for brains and "the typewriter") defines A History of Violence as "a pretentious mess from one of the most overrated directors," you can be sure it's a masterpiece.
