Rating: Having more or less set aside the Orbital guided by the Hartnoll brothers reemerges from the space-time oblivion with this new solid patchwork, released at the beginning of April, which resurrects, giving new propulsive energy to, the ecological electronics, the duo's specific trademark.
Eight years have passed since the all in all not transcendental "Blue Album", a record that was intended to definitively seal the technocratic parable of the Anglo-Saxon electro-manipulators; the nine stroboscopic fragments present in "Wonky" testify, without particular fear of contradiction, that the substantial stand-by has tangibly corroborated the enveloping and jagged digital trajectories intertwined by the duo: if on one hand the new tracks appear stylistically unmistakable - the beginning formed by "One Big Moment"/"Straight Sun" represents a formidable example of D.O.C. Orbital-sound - at the same time, the reworking of the sounds they usually advocated proves successful; e.g., the grated bells, with the help of the fierce Lady Leshurr, of the track that titles the album, passing through the post-junglist clangors of the biting “Beelzedub” promise a great listen.
