Nick Lowe

English singer-songwriter and producer (born 1949), a key figure in pub rock and new wave. Co-founded Brinsley Schwarz, launched a solo career with Jesus of Cool (aka Pure Pop for Now People), wrote (What’s So Funny ’Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding, produced early Elvis Costello and Graham Parker records, and scored hits like Cruel to Be Kind and I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass.
