Geri Allen

Geri Allen (1957–2017) was an American jazz pianist, composer, and educator from Detroit. A key figure linked to the M-Base movement, she recorded widely as a leader, collaborated with artists including Ornette Coleman, Dave Holland, and Jack DeJohnette, and received the JazzPar Prize. She taught at the University of Pittsburgh.
