Dick Dale

Dick Dale (Richard Anthony Monsour) was an American guitarist and pioneer of surf rock, dubbed the “King of the Surf Guitar.” Known for rapid, Middle Eastern–tinged picking and cavernous reverb, he popularized Misirlou and worked closely with Leo Fender to develop high-powered amps like the Dual Showman.
