Papa M

Papa M is the solo moniker of American guitarist David Pajo. Known for foundational work with Slint and collaborations involving Tortoise, Stereolab, Zwan, and Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Pajo’s Papa M spans instrumental post-rock, hushed folk, and experimental textures. Key releases include Live From a Shark Cage (1999), Whatever, Mortal (2001), Highway Songs (2016), and A Broke Moon Rises (2018), largely via Drag City.
