Gábor Szabó

Hungarian-born jazz guitarist (b. 1936) who emigrated to the U.S. in 1956, studied in Boston (Berklee), first gained prominence with Chico Hamilton, recorded for Impulse!, and co-founded Skye Records with Gary McFarland and Cal Tjader. Known for blending jazz with raga, Central European folk, and other global influences. Died in 1982.
