The Faint

The Faint are an American dance‑punk/new wave band from Omaha, Nebraska, formed in 1995 and closely associated with Saddle Creek Records. Emerging from the local indie scene (early on as Norman Bailer), they shifted from guitar-led indie rock to a synth-forward attack, culminating in acclaimed releases like Danse Macabre (2001) and Wet From Birth (2004).
