Booker T. & The MG's

Booker T. & The MG's are an American instrumental soul/R&B group formed in Memphis in 1962. As the Stax Records house band, they helped define the Southern soul sound, backing artists like Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, and Wilson Pickett. Core members include Booker T. Jones (organ/keys), Steve Cropper (guitar), Donald "Duck" Dunn (bass), and Al Jackson Jr. (drums). Their signature hits include Green Onions and Time Is Tight.
