Flotsam and Jetsam

Flotsam and Jetsam are an American thrash metal band from the Phoenix, Arizona area, formed in 1981. Their debut Doomsday for the Deceiver (1986, Metal Blade) and its follow-up No Place for Disgrace (1988) are considered genre landmarks. Early member Jason Newsted later joined Metallica.
