Morton Subotnick

American composer and pioneer of electronic music, renowned for Silver Apples of the Moon (1967), one of the first electronic works commissioned specifically for LP. An early and influential user of the Buchla modular synthesizer, he helped shape the language of electroacoustic and multimedia performance.
