November is not just any band. The very fact that they are Italian and capable of creating masterpiece after masterpiece (considering that musically speaking, Italy is a third-world country, let's admit it) makes them at least one of my absolute favorite bands. They had already produced three beautiful and very different albums before returning with this "Novembrine Waltz". Beautiful and different as well. Yes, because the band once again demonstrated immense maturity without ever hitting a low point, offering only albums that are absolute masterpieces. They are absolutely one of my favorite bands, undoubtedly one of the best in Italy in the metal scene.

If "Wish I..." was evocative and ancestral, "Arte Novecento" subtle and melancholic, "Classica" dark and desperate, I would describe this "Novembrine Waltz" as dreamy and enchanting. It grabs you, takes you along, makes you fly with your imagination. Sure, some previous songs could also be described this way (like "My Starving Bambina" or "Nostalgiaplatz"), but this time, Novembre have made a summary of all the characteristics that distinguish them (melancholy, anger, melodies, powerful riffs, arpeggios, clean voice, in growl, in scream, etc.) creating a truly 'dreamy' soundscape in the true sense of the word! They've matured once again; there's nothing to be done.
You can tell we are facing a masterpiece from the very beginning track "Distances" which, after a powerful riff and a growl voice, follows with a scream supported by a splendid rhythm that outlines the melody together with the guitars which later become more subtle and less direct, introducing a new melody with a clean voice and truly evocative new sounds that intervene between one note and another... And what about "Everasia"? The inclusion of Italian to complement English is exceptionally well done. The song starts subtly and with slow and evocative Italian singing. When it accelerates, the time changes are frequent, and the main melody is established, which will later be broken by an even more melancholic one that, with a new Italian singing, not to mention the epic choruses and the more dreamy and majestic passages, makes the song among the most beautiful and visceral the group has ever written, you feel like leaving this world behind and flying high with the notes.
Not to mention "Come Pierrot", simply my favorite, too beautiful, catchy with guitars outlining a subtle carpet thanks also to the piano, but also aggressive in its stride... But there’s no point in talking about all the others, how much I like "Flower" or how intricate, complex and visceral "Venezia Dismal" is, with that subtle and melancholic melody and those arpeggios broken by Carmelo Orlando's fury, who traces melody upon melody, exquisitely interconnected, up to moving finales.

"Novembrine Waltz" is a must-have, like all their discography. By now, we can expect anything from such a band (and I recommend seeing them live because it's really worth it!).

This is now, since and then
and this is where we unendingly
forever stand

And then I saw your smile,
the origin of the sun
which cracks the stone
of which we gods are made
now that I saw your smile
I'd step out from this stump
This is where we unendingly forever stand

E' come impazzire in un mare dorato
[Translation:]
(It feels like going crazy in a golden sea)

Running from light
dive in the wonders of twilight
like children of dusk
on the run from the day

Do you remember the exspanse of desks and th
smell of the first days?
tears dense and in plenty,
while far behind, the world punished you
against the wall
for noting but just being

Now, taht after all this years
I'm no longer sure
if you had really existed,
or if I just invented you
tell me what's left to trust

I face that place again
but this time in depth of the self
and I'm weaker without your sad smile, the
same as mine

Sometimes the sight of the town through
the rain fills the pit of
a failure of life

when the sight of the town
through the rain
fills the pit of a life that has failed

This is now, since and than
and this is where we unendingly
forever stand

 A masterpiece of Italian metal.

The album is a bittersweet journey, a long dance that is also a seesaw of emotions, from joy to love to despair and sadness.
