It was 1991 when one of the cornerstone albums in the history of rock came to light, not because of any particular instrumental virtuosity, but simply because in every note and every scream of the singer Kurt Cobain are encapsulated the feelings and anxieties of an entire generation that sees him as a sort of spokesperson.

"Nevermind" is the first album featuring Dave Grohl on drums, who definitively elevates the band's quality. The sound is less raw compared to their first work, "Bleach," partly due to some interventions from the record label, "Geffen," which enraged Kurt to the point of making him disown the album whose sound did not satisfy him.

But this very sound, which manages to perfectly blend the hardness of punk rock with more melodic rhythms, is what would bring Nirvana world success through tracks of great intensity and beauty; we remember the symbolic song of the album, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," characterized by a captivating riff and a revolutionary flair.
However, one cannot ignore pieces like "In Bloom," in the same style as "Smells Like Teen Spirit," which alternates verses dominated by calm with choruses where the piece explodes with great energy; this track is, in practice, an invitation to those who listen to Nirvana just for fashion to understand what they really want to say.
Then we have "Come As You Are," with its simple but memorable riff, "Lithium," which represents an attack on religion, and finally, it's worth mentioning the autobiographical "Something In The Way," a wonderful acoustic ballad that stands apart from the rest of the album's style, perfect as a closing piece.

In short, "Nevermind" is an album to listen to in one breath, letting oneself be carried away by Kurt's haunting voice and his music, which expresses, as he himself declared, freedom!

"Kurt did not want to be the spokesperson of his generationโ€™s discomfort, but rather the spokesperson for his personal discomfort within society."

"Every song gives you an emotion. Musically, Nirvana conveys different emotions through the simplicity of their harmonies."

"Nevermind" is the most important rock album of the '90s, many have said so.

Nirvana became a center of interest for some majors, breaking down the barriers of distorted guitars and shouted vocals.

Itโ€™s the most important rock album of the โ€™90s both in musical and commercial terms.

Itโ€™s a memorable album where you experience so many feelings (discomfort, anger, alienation, rebel strength, and much more) that Kurt knew very well how to express.

KURT INVENTED GRUNGE, NEVERMIND IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ALBUM OF THE 90s, THIS IS TEENAGE RAGE, WHAT HE COMMUNICATES NO ONE ELSE EVER WILL.

His way of singing is unique, conveying many emotions including pain, rage (teenage), and love.

I like Nirvana because they are really pissed off and they make you want to get pissed off too.

Nirvana invented grudge music that will change music all over the world and scare everyone so much that the Japanese made a horror movie titled The Grudge in honor of the myth.
