The Nightwish are now one of the most important metal bands in the world and the Finnish group that has sold the most copies worldwide, thanks especially to the success of their latest effort, "Once". Furthermore, the single "Nemo" has had unexpected success even outside the metal realm, not to mention the atmospheric music video in rotation on many music channels: even MTV, usually hesitant about metal music, aired "Nemo," albeit at impossible times.
In short, by now Nightwish is part of "the big league," and it is up to the new label Nuclear Blast to promote them in the best way: they have released as many as 4 different versions: the regular version, the digipack version (which also includes the Nemo video), the DVD version, and the limited edition vinyl version. Enough to make even the biggest collector and the most die-hard fan tear their hair out!
My single includes "Nemo," "Planet Hell," "White Night Fantasy," and the orchestral version of "Nemo." "Nemo" is the track we all know: catchy and quite simple in its structure. But despite this, it is a track that fully convinces. "Planet Hell" is an excellent track, featured in "Once," gritty and engaging thanks also to the use of orchestrations. "White Night Fantasy" is a very sweet ballad where Tarja shows remarkable versatility. The single closes with the orchestral version of "Nemo," where the track takes on an even more magical and enchanting dimension.
All in all, it's a good single, but I do not recommend purchasing it for those who are not fans of the Finnish band.
