THE REVIEW

Two people have already talked about "All The Right Reasons," and I don't think they've said everything right. Assuming that the band founded by the Kroeger brothers hasn't maintained the same style over the years and has thus become more commercial, after a first listen, the album isn't that horrible... I personally thought: "IS IT REALLY THEM?"

The reason is very simple, too many tracks are overly radio-friendly, and I can assure you, that's not really the style of the old Nickelback.

"Follow You Home": For those who've never really listened to a Nickelback CD, it might seem like a good track; in reality, it's too similar to "Another Hole In The Head" from 2002... however, it's a gritty piece and quite "rock" (not that much).
"Fight For All The Wrong Reasons": Also not bad here, fresh and fast track, less melodic than the previous one, it's a well-made song, nice crossover between Mike's guitar and Chad's warm voice.
"Photograph": "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?????
"Look at this photograph Everytime I do it makes me laugh...." what do you want, FIRST PLACE IN TOP OF THE POPS? I'm not commenting.
"Animals": finally you can breathe again; guitars, bass, and drums... and no girly lyrics, you think: maybe it continues like this, "Photograph" is just a parenthesis...
"Savin' Me": SAY NO MORE! For heaven's sake, the lyrics might fit if you're desperate, but what the HELL is that choir of sibling hymn singing? The melancholic ending that closes the melody is decent. "Far away": NO WAY! It sounds like it was written by Enrique Iglesias!!!! I love you, I miss you..... I'm not going any further or it will end badly; the sound is horrible. . .
"Next Contestant": oxygen, the 4 Canadians try to save face because they know the previous track sucks. Great start, rather post-grunge, but then it drops a bit, however, we're still at more than adequate levels, hard guitars, aggressive vocals (not like in Far Away) and drumming that sweats.
"Side Of A Bullet": not bad, definitely metal, the only really serious track and then..... THEN IT'S BETTER IF I DON'T CONTINUE, THE THREE REMAINING TRACKS:
"If Everyone Cared", "Someone That You're With" and "Rockstar" ARE A BALL AND CHAIN, FOR THE FIRST TIME YOU CAN'T WAIT FOR A NICKELBACK CD TO END..... this doesn't work.

Listen to it but know in advance that it won't be a very pleasant hour. Chad Kroeger said in an interview: "I don't like MTV"... and then what the HELL DO YOU DO? Compose "Far Away"... oh well...

"The most unfortunate track of the album, 'Photograph'... too cheesy, and tiresome by the third listen."

"Nickelback’s most frequent mistake is promoting albums with singles that are too commercial and banal, overshadowing the album’s excellent pieces."

Daniel Adair has brought a breath of fresh rock air and the possibility of an additional vocal line to further harmonize the sung parts.

"Side of a Bullet" boasts a prestigious recording by Dimebag Darrell, a touching tribute to the late Pantera guitarist.

This is an album with two faces capable of thrilling both rock enthusiasts and the more romantic ones.

"Side Of A Bullet" with strong references to the thrash of Metallica and Pantera; a tribute to Dimebag Darrell.
