By pure chance, I came across this CD online, and considering the negligible fee to have this disc delivered home, for personal amusement and to annoy my Metalhead Uncle who surely never heard of them even by name, I arranged to have it packed and ready for delivery from Savona (vynilmagic3? Naah..)

Anyway, the first listen is quite telling, and even from the intro, I felt that the work done by these Germans was oriented towards a type of sound steeped, nourished by seventies influences with a clear doom foundation à la Pentagram (also vocally to a great extent) and with the ear-shattering riffing and the rhythm section of sacred monsters like Manchu and Sabbath.
The extra gear of the aforementioned disc is undoubtedly in its ability to weave extraordinary vocal melodies; just listen to the title track or the wonder of wonders "Sky Diver", not to mention "Gallery Of Fantasy", which drives you to furious pogoing with its splendid succession of Sabbathian reiterations hailing the purest hard psych.
"The Art To Love" is definitely one to remember, perfectly combining heavy psychedelic vibrations with a strong dark/gothic component, pushing you to constantly press the repeat button on your home player.

I still don't understand why such a great band broke up so prematurely. They must be recovered and re-listened to, in case you never had the chance to encounter this band in the endless chaos of stoner releases of recent years. And then, they're on Rise Above...
