My Dad Is Dead

My Dad Is Dead is the Cleveland, Ohio project of songwriter/guitarist Mark Edwards, begun in 1984. Often a one‑man endeavor with rotating collaborators (including early drummer John McEntire), the act moved from lo‑fi/post‑punk edges to a more focused, pop‑tinged sound. The double LP The Taller You Are, the Shorter You Get was released on Homestead Records in 1989.
