I didn't know about My Chemical Romance, but since I'm in a phase where I like listening to new things and not just pop (which is and remains my favorite genre), I bought the new album by "My Chemical Romance": "The Black Parade".
The album is produced by Rob Cavallo, the artistic producer of Green Day (Yeah). The message of the album isn't the best; in a nutshell, it's about a boy's journey towards death. Despite this not being negligible, but deciding to ignore it, I listen to this album carefully.
This pure punk-rock album begins with the ballad "The End", very nice, and I think if the morning shows the day, it might be a masterpiece! It's not a masterpiece, but it's a great, very interesting album that I recommend to everyone. Sure, the song "Dead" (translated as death), they could have done without; such messages hurt! Also, "Cancer" is a track to forget!
The best track is "Welcome to the Black Parade", truly splendid and a perfectly chosen single. The second place in my personal "mischief-parade" regarding this album is "Teenagers"; I listen to it continuously lately and never get tired, it gives me an incredible boost! Now all you have to do is listen to it and form your own opinions, but in my opinion, "The Black Parade" is a very well-made punk-rock album with various musical influences.
There are some tracks to forget, but it's an encouraging album, and in my opinion, they could reach the level of Green Day!
Enjoy listening; oh, I forgot, it's a pleasure to be back on deBaser!

"Already the single 'Welcome To The Black Parade'... redeemed me from the doubt of having characterized MCR as a kind of boy band for 'alternative' girls."
"'Cancer' is one of the most touching songs I’ve ever heard... I’m not ashamed to say I cried listening to it, and I think it’s impossible to remain indifferent to it."
The album’s title faithfully reflects the songs, as it seems like you’re really witnessing a gigantic parade in which the band members perform with great pomp and absolutely out of the ordinary, accompanied by darkness and death.
You don’t only feel the constant presence of death but also its opposite, life, imposed through the voice of singer Gerard Way, noisy, sad, but also strong and melodic.
"'Welcome To The Black Parade' is the best track on the album: a continuous crescendo, emphatic from the piano note-based intro to the energetic and singable chorus."
"A decidedly varied and well-played album... enjoyable to listen to, including several pleasant moments."
The Black Parade is the classic example of commercialization caused by MTV and mass media, transforming a band aiming to make music into cover personalities.
The worst can be heard in Cancer, Disenchanted, and I Don’t Love You, which wouldn’t look out of place on a Backstreet Boys album.
"Many people who consider emo garbage... surely know only two things about it: the band’s name and the music videos."
"Critics have considered The Black Parade an album of generational impact like Nevermind and American Idiot were. History repeats..."
