Murmur Mori is the music project inspired by the ancient traditions of Mirko Void, already known for having created the intriguing Kreativ In Den Boden. The new album, titled "0", follows the path set by the previous EP, aiming to connect to a kind of transcendence by seeking a metaphysical and mystical sense in an increasingly chaotic and materialistic reality like the one we live in today. In the 1970s, this approach was explored mainly in Germany, but in Italy, there were also prominent figures like Franco Battiato, Claudio Rocchi, and N.A.D.M.A. This album literally originates from an initiatory "journey" that the members of Murmur Mori undertook by visiting forgotten sacred places in Northern Italy, such as the Cromlech, and immersing themselves in the sacredness of woods where one can reconcile themselves with the harmony of the spheres: the attempt is thus to give voice back to a Nature outraged and treated with disdain by man. The produced music is characterized by its undeniable ritual and spiritual quality. The soundscapes used range from folk to settings not far from ritual-ambient: in any case, it's an original and personal path, and I don't see any links with so-called neo-folk groups, although philosophically there is some affinity, particularly with German groups like Forseti, Sonne Hagal, and Orplid, who connect back to paganism. "0" is composed of 6 tracks filled with an uncontaminated purity that can transport you to another dimension of being: the acoustic guitar tones and the faint misty embellishments of the synth envelop us in a dream where it's possible to visit forgotten forests populated by druids and elves. "0" is an album full of positive vibrations and represents an antidote against the decay of the modern world. Available on Bandcamp: https://murmurmori.bandcamp.com/.
