Initially considered as part of the drum & bass scene, Mouse on Mars were soon labeled with other appellations: Futurist Grind, Kraut dub, Doom house. This 1998 album is effectively the third in their production and an album that, in times "not suspected" for contaminations and cut&crop, had music critics across half of Europe declaring it a miracle, and rightly so.
The album was born from the desire of American director Josh Evans to recruit Mouse on Mars to create a soundtrack for a documentary. Toma and Warner accepted the task and created the music initially under the name Glam. From then on, the duo began working on jingle production for WDR (West Germany Broadcasting), composing soundtracks for Arte, and creating remixes for various groups. All these experiences would be incorporated in various ways and to different extents in the duo's future (sometimes experimental) compositions. In 2003, the label Sonig decided to reissue the album in question, enriched with numerous out-tracks and unreleased recordings made during the original sessions.
For lovers of kraut-rock, hard electronics, and ambient experimentation, more than just an album, a milestone.
