THE REVIEW

With the release of this album, Mortiis (formerly of Emperor) begins a sort of second phase. Having left behind the medieval ambient/folk sounds, we find the sprite steering towards more Electro-Industrial horizons, reminiscent of bands like Skinny Puppy and Nine Inch Nails. However, the album contains tracks like "Scar Trek/Parasite God", which are enough to decide if you'll enjoy the album or not. If you liked it, continue listening; if not, give it another chance. The second track on the album is "Flux/Mental Maelstorm"; if you didn't like it, I suggest stopping here because I don't think the album will interest you since it consistently maintains the same genre. Those who appreciated the sprite's new sound will find interesting tracks like "Monolith", "Spirit In A Vacuum", "Smell The Witch" (in my opinion, the most successful and rhythmic track), "Everyone Leaves", and "Marshland."

Mortiis's courage in releasing this album is commendable, different from his previous ones (I personally appreciated it a lot).
I recommend long-time Mortiis fans, fans of Nine Inch Nails, and anyone interested in listening to something different, to purchase this record... you won't be disappointed.

Best Regards.

It sounds like Depeche with Manson on vocals and a Doctor and the Medics style to make fun of themselves/ourselves.

I just can’t understand how one can spend about 1 hour ... without getting bored and tossing it away.
