Hello, I know this album has already been reviewed many times, but I would like to share my thoughts on this initial small masterpiece from the glorious career of the great Motley Crue.
First of all, I want to start by saying that this band ruled the Eighties, only to regain their stride with the latest album released, masterpieces like "Girl Girls Girls" will not come again, but let's move on to the album in question.
The first track is "Live Wire," which immediately kicks off with power and energy bursting from every pore, with that sharp guitar that's impossible not to recognize. The second and third tracks are a bit softer but still thrilling, the riffs strongly resemble a punk track, but then comes the fourth track "Merry - Go Round" which is simply fantastic, very romantic, and every time I listen to it, beautiful moments come to mind. It also makes me think, not referring to the text in Italian, of a love story gone wrong, love, melancholy, but the track is truly amazing. After all, the great masters in question have crafted many ballads, all very beautiful.
Then come "Take Me To The Top" and "Piece Of Your Action," which are two rather simple tracks to remember, nothing new, but still very pleasant and catchy. Next is another of my favorites, "Starry Eyes," with that very Eighties atmosphere. Then it's the turn of the huge Title Track "TOO FAST FOR LOVE," which is simply beautiful, especially that chorus that's very hard to forget, moving on to tracks nine and ten, which are two ordinary episodes that do not ruin the album at all, and then there's the beautiful "Stick To Your Guns" and the last track "Tonight" - also nice as a Bonus.
To conclude, what can I say, the Motley Crue make me think of women in bikinis, motorcycles, the sea, beautiful summer evenings, and the great rock and roll they have always exuded, overlooking the dreadful Nineties and remembering that they are always and in any case a great band, not particularly gifted technically but still effective.
Cheers!
Too Fast For Love (1981) is the debut album for the Crue, who, for their capabilities, create a small masterpiece.
The only flaw of the record is the recording quality, which is very rough and approximate.
In their debut album, the Crüe show all their cards: drug addicts, womanizers, alcoholics, and incapable of playing.
The overall effect of this combination of qualities results in a sound that was perfect for the '80s, it’s glam, it’s heavy, it’s metal.
