There are fantastic albums that I admire for the sonic and technical qualities of the band, such as Agaetis Byrjun by Sigur Ros, and albums that I admire because they are enjoyable and jovial, even if I realize they are not memorable (but they may also reveal surprises...).

"Eyes on Tomorrow" is one of these, cheerful and light enough to relax, because the notes coming from the speakers are as warm as Africa, the homeland of this artist who has unfortunately just left us.

Miriam Makeba brought the sounds of her land around the world, and she did so until the end, singing of peace and hope, denouncing apartheid and racial discrimination, and singing even carefree and joyful notes as only in Africa they know how to. This album contains a little gem, truly of great value: it is the song "Don't break my heart", which bears the signature of Paolo Conte, and which Makeba sings together with the great Dizzy Gillespie, who of course offers a solo of his mythic bent-bell trumpet. Few songs move me like this one, especially because it evokes for me the beautiful film "La freccia azzurra" by Enzo D'Alò, of which it is the soundtrack.

It is an easy-listening album, which I recommend to everyone, and to listen to with calmness, imagining flying over tree-filled expanses and transparent rivers, or perhaps while reading a good novel.
