18 songs in 15 minutes...if that's not a record, it's pretty close.
Anyway, it's impossible to talk about the individual songs since we are faced with the clumsiest trio the world (I don't really think so) remembers.

The music of the Minutemen is a paradox. Pure irony driven by a funk that smells of punk, by a jazz that feels like hardcore (never before have labels been attached so forcefully in this context).
The beauty of this group is that their music is music in complete freedom. That is, they might know where to start (perhaps) and don't know where they'll end up... odd times, slapdash drumming, a clean guitar that distorts more than a distortion cranked to the max, a voice that believes pitch is a German food... all supported by an indescribable bass (truly the greatest bassist of all time).
Yes, yes, you've got it right Mike Watt is God and you can believe all you want that Flea is a genius... he may be a genius but he must believe in a god!!
When I knew nothing about the Minutemen, I thought it was simplistic to make songs just one minute long and maybe it is, but those by the aforementioned group are satiated, at times they explode, they live with a life of their own (every time you listen again there's something new, something you hadn’t noticed before), they are mini universes... for me, one of their songs is like an entire album, that flies, stings you and escapes away, and when the record stops spinning you pause for a moment...and you say: "Damn, are they joking? They're crazy!!!".
The Punch Line, released in 1981 by SST, is for me their masterpiece. Generally, everyone prefers the following two and they're right, nothing to say, I mean, they’re not the usual rubbish for teenagers with wallets full of dollars, but this is too crazy, very raw, hyper-fast, it changes everything every 15 seconds... recorded live, it ends up making you feel smaller and more unfortunate. D.Boon the, in quotes, singer, not only died on Christmas night but he died when everything was still to be discovered... meaning where they would have gone and what other craziness they would have done was still to be decided.

In any case, Mike Watt is God, the Minutemen (contrary to their name) are immense and their music collides head-on with genius!!!
