Minutemen were a three-piece band from San Pedro, California (D. Boon, Mike Watt, George Hurley), active from 1980 until 1985. They blended punk, funk and other genres into short, intense songs and are closely associated with SST Records. The group ended after D. Boon's death in December 1985.
