Minnie Riperton

Minnie Riperton (Chicago-born American singer) rose to fame in the 1970s with the No. 1 single Lovin' You and a distinctive whistle-register voice. After early work with Rotary Connection, she issued acclaimed solo albums including Come to My Garden and Perfect Angel (produced by Stevie Wonder). She died in 1979 of breast cancer.
