I want to clarify that this is not intended as a 'critique of the manual,' even though I think that in books of this type there is a great need for it. Rather, it is a review of a book that I am literally enjoying. For me, however, this is not just a book to read, but a true study text that allows me, along with many others, to grow as a classical pianist and to strengthen myself as a musician.
I am talking about Interpretation. Or, the Possible Breviary of the Musician at the Piano, a book written by the Neapolitan pianist Michele Campanella. It consists of brief notes on the different aspects of study, piano performances, and the 'norms' that govern music: legato, intervals, pauses, beauty, and so on. It is a very beautiful book, really well-written, and suitable for everyone, amateurs or not, who are dedicated to the study of the piano.
