It amazes and shocks me at the same time that no one has commented, at least with a couple of lines, on one of the undisputed masterpieces of heavy metal in general! Let's rectify that!
This is an exemplary album in the genre, crafted by the legendary band in the year 1991, when the heavy/thrash metal scene was approaching a sad sunset (as indeed happened) and when many bands like Metallica and Megadeth turned to less demanding and more commercial solutions.
An absolutely unique album, a must-have for the admirers of "true" metal; Metal Church have been and still are one of the truly consistent bands, who have stayed on the path they embarked on, even though understandably the weight of the years is now felt and this significantly affects the new sounds the band has embraced over the last couple of albums, without robbing us of anything at the same time, of course; but the times of the legendary "Metal church & Human Factor" are indeed far away and sadly improbable.
I won't go piece by piece through the tracklist, but I can only tell you that this work is a mass of sharp, captivating solos, brimming with technique and speed and a certain wisdom matured over time that allows the group to skillfully blend a certain rock/blues influence in some track lists! Absolutely to have and keep; a heritage of humanity.
