LA RECENSIONE

Meneguinness is a band from Brianza that, after four years and more than 200 gigs in Italy, releases its second official album and first of original songs. We are in the realm of combat folk, enriched by an excellent inclination to write singer-songwriter songs where the words flow like a brilliant stream of consciousness, never predictable. The sound suggests, given the proximity to combat folk and Ireland (the band's great love), groups like Modena City Ramblers. But here there's an approach that tastes of punk, of life, of things that need to be said. In short, it's an album that exudes vitality, that vitality that perhaps MCR has been lacking for a while... And I'm told that live this desire to live and express themselves is "blasted" in people's faces to the nth degree. Watch out
