I would like to introduce this review by discussing the relationship between the Devil and music. The popular show "Lucignolo" has defined Marilyn Manson as the symbol of Devil's music. Nothing could be more wrong, Marilyn Manson is the embodiment not of the Antichrist, but clearly of a mere commercial operation that has been successful, given Marilyn Manson's worldwide success. This is not the initiation of the masses, but a greedy use of Satan's brand to achieve substantial gains. The only true satanic music is not even the Blues, nor the music of the fearsome Slayer, but BLACK METAL. In the late 90s, in the desolate northern European lands, a dark musical movement was born from the ashes of Venom's Thrash metal. It was precisely Black Metal.
Dead, singer and composer of Mayhem, committed suicide in the old baika where he lived in absolute poverty... in the name of Satan. His guitarist and friend Euronymous, when he found him with cut veins and a shattered head, his first thought was to take pieces of bone to use in satanic rites. Euronymous shortly thereafter followed Dead into the land of Death, he was killed by his religious-musical rival: Varg Vikernes (Burzum). One last thing: if it is true that we are suffocated by a thousand charlatans and false exorcists, it is also unfair that hosts and guests of television programs (like Costanzo and his "followers") impose their thoughts on us as if it were an absolute truth.
I distrust them as I distrust magicians and as I distrust all those who wave proofs of all kinds in front of my eyes to convince me of something as politicians do. If you want to listen to the true demonic sound, the right album is: De Mysteriis dom Sathanas by Mayhem, a true milestone of sick and decadent sound. Dead wrote the lyrics, but, being dead, he could not interpret them. Mayhem recruited the delirious vocalist Attila Csihar, his voice desperate like a lament from the crypts is unforgettable.
