THE REVIEW

After whispering his "Infinite Love Songs" to us, Maximilian Hecker dusts off the piano, unleashes his creative streak, and gives us a "Rose": red, full of passion and vitality, but also gray, dejected, decadent...

This album, compared to the debut, is less acoustic and features some tracks tinged with a bit of electronics, but his are delicate love songs, accompanied by wonderful bittersweet melodies.
His unmistakable lyricism is a lullaby that first cuddles you, then seduces you, and finally welcomes you into its warm embrace.

Beautiful quotes (and songs): "The days are endless without your eyes touching my heart, healing my wounds." (Fool) and "Just to let you know that you're the only one" (My Love For You Is Insane).

Bewitching piano notes, soft and fabulous lyrics that wink at romance, falsettos à la Jeff Buckley, and well-balanced musical arrangements, is that enough? My Friends has a driving rhythm "Forget how to breathe, forget how to speak", and Daylight almost seems like an Archive song.

Kate Moss is spine-chilling. But who knows if tomorrow this Rose will still be standing in its splendor...

I say it definitely will.

He tortures himself but doesn’t get sad; in fact, he seems to cradle himself in the nostalgia of memories and the situations described in these 11 tracks.

More refined than his debut "Infinite Love Song" but not overly elaborate for that reason.
