The return of Maximilian Hecker to the pop scene is an opportunity to once again witness his (our) love struggles.
He tortures himself but doesn't get sad; in fact, he seems to cradle himself in the nostalgia of memories and the situations described in these 11 tracks.
The German label Kitty-Yo has invested a lot in this artist, and the work done can be appreciated on this CD. More refined than his debut "Infinite Love Song" but not overly elaborate for that reason.
It starts with a piano intro that seems to set the backdrop for the central theme of the album, but Kate Moss is only in the title, an icon of beauty.
British influences ("I Am Falling Now" and "That's What You Do") and even a drum'n'bass reminiscence ("My Love For You Is Insane") that doesn't lose sweetness.
A drumming that couldn't be more distorted contrasts in "My Friends".
It ends with a portrait of the protagonist of these love torments, "Rose", hoping (alas!) that they continue to inspire him.
"The days are endless without your eyes touching my heart, healing my wounds." (Fool)
"Just to let you know that you’re the only one" (My Love For You Is Insane)
