February 20 in Melpignano, at La Casa del Turista (Ex Tabacchificio) on Via Roma: Massimo Donno, a singer-songwriter from the Salento region, will offer a concert dedicated to the best hits of Amore e marchette and a preview of the upcoming CD Partenze, a work that enjoys the artistic production of Riccardo Tesi and talks about travel—the journey of those seeking work, the journey of those seeking work, and those who lose it. A theme dear, very dear to the South. Very dear to all Italians, of yesterday but also of today. The concert, made possible thanks to the Patronage of the Municipality of Melpignano, will be an opportunity to tell the dreams and prospects of those who, in a historical moment of crisis like this, have decided to make art, music, and poetry their work without sacrificing the dream of their own artistic identity.
Singer-songwriter, musician. For several years, he has been dividing his time between writing and songwriting, between original projects and theater: Massimo Donno released his first solo album in 2013, published by Ululati/Lupo Editore, titled Amore e Marchette, receiving excellent reviews and performing on stages throughout Italy. Since the release of the album, he has opened numerous concerts: from Daniele Silvestri to Nada and Fausto Mesolella (Avion Travel), Fabio Concato, etc. Several collaborations span theater and music, from Alberto Bertoli to Luciano Melchionna, from Maurizio Geri to Riccardo Tesi, with whom he is currently working on the next album. In September 2014, he won the special prize as Emerging Artistic Personality at the Poggio Bustone Prize.
