La batteria, il contrabbasso, eccetera cece65

"Songs are like punch cards to be inserted into a computer... If you make a mistake with the rhythm in the perforation, the card will be spat out by the machine and people will never hear either the music or the words."

"'Il veliero' is a piece that will prove to be way ahead of its time and goes far beyond the disco music atmospheres, even similar to certain '70s house atmospheres."

Dive into Lucio Battisti's innovative 1976 album and rediscover a milestone in Italian rhythm-driven music.

Lucio Battisti

Lucio Battisti (born 5 March 1943, Poggio Bustone – died 9 September 1998, Milan) was an Italian singer, songwriter and composer. A central figure in Italian pop, he achieved major success in the late 1960s–70s with lyricist Mogol, then pursued radical studio experimentation with Pasquale Panella in the late 1980s–90s. From 1980 he withdrew from concerts, TV and interviews, asserting that his art should speak for him.
