Prog not Sprog

Qui si disquisisce amabilmente di prog e sprog. Mi raccomando uno alla volta, tanto il prog è morto nel 1974 e lo sprog deve ancora nascere.

OSANNA L' Uomo (1971)

New Trolls A land to live a land to die

NEW TROLLS WEEK: A Land to Live a Land To Die......
Porcupine tree - Dislocated day.

SPINE WEEK: Dislocated day.............
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso - 750.000 anni fa, l' amore?

The Proggarolo group is languishing, let's try it this way...
New Trolls - Ho visto poi
From the New Trolls' branch known as "Atomic System," an album from 1973, one of the best-played and lesser-known in Italian prog. Missing is Nico Di Palo's Hendrix-like Stratocaster, replaced by a wall of keyboards played by Vittorio de Scalzi and Renato Rosset. There’s also Giorgio Baiocco's free sax and the drums of a young Tullio De Piscopo...
Traffic: Freedom Rider

From a perfect album, a piece that is even moving for its verve and execution. Everyone shines, Winwood on the Hammond singing at his best, as usual, Wood on sax and flute, always incisive and perfect, Capaldi essential and precise. "Freedom Rider" connects to Glad and highlights Winwood's golden moment, who had conceived "John Barleycorn" as a solo album, only to revert to the Traffic brand that had already brought him (us) so much joy.
