Hey guys, the group is slowing down. Let loose. I'm being Mr. Obvious here, I've started watching Neon Genesis Evangelion again after dropping it at 1x05 a while back (it didn't grab me much). This is because in the meantime, I watched Shin Godzilla, also by Hideaki Anno, which is an absolute blast. So, second chance. Around 1x07 it really picks up!

oh then Taboo broke my balls. I’ve dropped all the new series that inspired me between the first and second episodes. Iron Fist. Legion. American Gods (here after two episodes you still couldn’t figure out a damn thing, even though everything was really cool, actors, colors, little farts, but I just gave up because I was getting headaches like when I tried to listen to the messhuggahhaahh). Only the usual lawyer stuff got a pass: The Good Fight, but more out of nostalgia than anything else, and Better Call Saul, as mentioned before. I hear great things about Big Little Lies, does anyone know anything?

Two little stones (as usual very late, but I have my own timing...), let's see what the pond thinks. 1) The White Pope: damn, what a bore... I still haven't found the motivation to watch the third episode. Thirteen reasons why: a bit gay, a bit of nonsense, but entertaining. If it were autumn, it would be perfect to binge-watch in one go, on a Sunday afternoon, under the duvet.

Same with paracetamol: I hadn’t caught a flu this bad in at least 10 years. I've been stuck in bed since Tuesday. By now, all that’s left of my study will be the rubble and the bills to pay... in return, I’ve managed to watch: almost the entire first season of Narcos (which starts off really well, but then I find it becomes almost unbearably boring...), the first two episodes of Westworld (which kicks off quite well, using some not-at-all original ideas in a very intriguing way, but there’s a smell of a bullshit twist like Lost lurking just around the corner), but above all Marvel's Daredevil (the first six episodes) which doesn’t have much superhero action and is instead a nice gothic series full of beatings. Recommended.

Just out of curiosity: did any kind soul manage to finish the second season of Mr Robotttino? I gave up after 5 episodes, my ass was bleeding from how bad it was. Anyway, on October 2nd, Westworld starts. And all the other series can only accompany.

Hey guys, Hap & Leo isn't bad at all, actually. Those who speak poorly of it just don't understand the difference between the book and the movie; everything is very faithful, the settings are well chosen, people speak Texan, and there are lines. Especially, they are said in Texan and sound much better than read in Italian in the books.

Stranger Things downloaded, watched, and enjoyed. I can't help but agree with what Pixies writes (they could have at least tried to throw in an idea that’s even vaguely original, but maybe it would have clashed with the calligraphic/celebratory approach). At least they had the intelligence to keep it to just eight episodes and not unnecessarily stretch it out. I was even thinking of writing a review, but the August laziness has so far prevented me from doing so. I’ll note down The Get Down, hoping to find it somewhere. As for the rest, I’ve been recommended The Leftovers (in the "procurement" stage) and Fortitude. I’ve watched two episodes of the latter, but I have to admit it really bored me and I dropped it about a month ago.
