Great singer-songwriter: sarcastic, ironic, sharp, mocking lyrics, and much more. He’s also very good as a musician. It may well be true, as (almost) everyone says, that he has declined a lot in recent years. But even if that were the case (as you may have understood, I’m a bit biased), I still prefer him by far to other "artists" that are currently around: Gigi D'Alessio, Laura Pausini, Biagio Antonacci, Eros Ramazzotti, Alessandra Amoroso, Giusy Ferreri, and the like.

Italian singer-songwriter born in Naples in 1946, active since the early 1970s; known for concept albums that blend rock, blues and folk with ironic, satirical lyrics and for large live shows in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
