They have lived, live, and will live in an ugly limbo. They made dignified music that, however, will not remain in history either as the sacred monsters of psychedelia, progressive, hard rock, new wave, singer-songwriter etc., nor as the pop-rock-hip hop superstars that have etched themselves into the collective imagination for reasons other than their musical talents. This is the price to pay for those who become infatuated with a past era, renouncing to keep pace with their own. However, every now and then I listen to them to lighten my sometimes heavy listening.
