Genesis

If they had come out in the 80s, my rating would be a stretched 2, but since they produced immense masterpieces in the 70s, I can't give anything less than a 5. More than with the loss of Peter Gabriel, the real Genesis died with the departure of Steve Hackett.

English rock band formed in 1967, celebrated for landmark early-1970s progressive albums (Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb) and a later, more pop-oriented phase led commercially by Phil Collins.
